There's nothing overwhelmingly amazing about this Pinot Noir, but it is very easy to drink - no frills, bright, light and very crushable.
When you pour your first glass, you’ll notice that it is a nice ruby color but very low opacity. On the nose, I got hints of cherry cola and very little of the earthy notes that come with a California Pinot Noir. Bright fruit on the palate, smooth finish, and well balanced. It is low tannin and medium acidity.
Like most light pinots, I taste wild cherry, raspberry, and ripe blackberry with a pomegranate finish. I recommend letting it breathe for at least an hour. In fact, I find that coming back to it the next day makes it even more interesting.
At only $6.99/bottle, we always have a bottle of Butler Pond ready to open for an evening patio night to relax after a stressful work day.
