This is a great everyday Rosé with a great value of $5.99. It is crisp with delicate notes of strawberry, red berries, and a hint of minerality.

Tasting Notes

This is the first official review of a rosé. I intentionally selected this one because I believe it is one of the best everyday rosés. Also, an unconfirmed rumor is that the version of this wine with the goat on the label means that it is exclusively sold at Trader Joes!

This is a Rhone-style rose and is a blend of Syrah, Grenache, and Cinsault. It is a clear, pale amber pink, almost salmon colored. On the nose, I get citrus and berry with some light floral notes.

I’m a bit of a Goldilocks with Rosé: not too sweet, not too dry. And while this wine leans more dry, it’s perfectly balanced with the acidity from the tart fruit notes.

Strawberry is the dominant taste, with little hints of tart raspberry. Mid-palate, I get notes of cherry and touches of minerality that are common with rosé. Perfect for a picnic!
